Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 The Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) protects and promotes the safety and well‑being of children and families through child welfare and juvenile justice services and community supports. ACS manages community‑based supports, foster care services, and subsidized childcare vouchers. Child protection staff respond to allegations of child maltreatment, while in juvenile justice ACS oversees detention, placement, and programs for youth in the community. The James Satterwhite Academy (JSA) enrolls hundreds of Child Protective Service Workers and Youth Development Specialists each fiscal year and provides training observation, assessment, and curriculum integration. The Training Unit delivers core training to frontline staff to support Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice cases. Responsibilities Act as a liaison with DCP leadership, Children’s Center leadership, Provider Agencies, FCLS and ACS Office of Human Resources to coordinate activities, develop plans, and establish methodologies. Collaborate with other ACS programs and contracted agencies to enhance course material, pilot new learning programs, and produce consistent, accurate reports on all training opportunities. Contribute to the design of in‑person and virtual learning programs on the JSA platform. Ensure technical accuracy of learning programs and compliance with mandates. Qualifications Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of community work or related community‑centered activities; or High school graduation or equivalent and six years of community work or related community‑centered activities; or Education and/or experience equivalent to either of the above, with at least one year of relevant community work experience. Section 424‑A of the New York Social Services Law requires an authorized agency to inquire whether a candidate for employment with child‑caring responsibilities has been the subject of a child abuse and maltreatment report.
