ALOHA! That was the greeting of the day exchanged by family and friends who attended Sheila and Bob’s Hawaiian Wedding. It was a beautifully planned day and had all the makings of a warm and inviting setting with colorful tropical flowers, cute Hawaiian table centerpieces made of sand, candles and sea shells, and guests finding their tables using Hawaiian Island names. Dress code for all guests was Hawaiian shirts for the guys and floral summer dresses for the ladies. As guests arrived, they were given a lei to wear and signed a surfboard instead of a traditional guest book.

The Bride wore a long cream colored dress with colorful flowers, and the Groom wore a shirt that was of the same pattern. The Ring Bearer had a matching shirt and the Flower Girl wore a knee length dress also with the same pattern. The Groomsman wore Hawaiian shirts and the Bridesmaids wore black dresses with red leis.

Sheila and Bob exchanged their vows and celebrated their day at Parkway by the Lake Banquets — a cozy venue located on the edge of a lake that provided a serene setting with beautiful natural backdrops for pictures. Their staff was extremely professional and the food they served was spectacular, the buffet was appealingly laid out and there was no skimping on portions. It could definitely have qualified as an equal running to a Hawaiian luau!

Immediately after the wedding ceremony, everyone was asked to select a wishing stone and walk across to the lake. Each person was asked to make a wish for a special someone, then at the count of 3, stones were thrown into the lake. Witnessing 180 people casting their wishes out to the universe was so very beautiful.

Scrapping on the Spot was so honored to capture this day — the wedding album we put together was so much fun to work on with vibrantly colored flowers, Hawaiian embellishments and a Tiki Bar page for the pictures with Sheila and her Bridesmaids at the Tiki Bar she has at her home! We couldn’t believe how awesome their wedding cake was! Each tier was decorated with what appeared to be tree trunks and a huge Totem at the base of the cake. Amazing !

The evening was enjoyed to the fullest and Sheila and Bob are so very happy to begin a new chapter in their lives together.

CONGRATULATIONS Sheila and Bob! Thank you for asking us to capture your day — we wish you an abundance of love and happiness!
