Wedding Anniversaries bring back the memories of your wedding day…. a time to remember something funny, to rehash a nervous or awkward moment and a time re-live the happiness you experienced on your special day. It’s also a time to reflect on all you have shared with each other, to feel proud of your accomplishments and to realize that your love has continued to grow as time goes by. And that’s exactly what Ellen and Brad did.

This happy couple was surrounded by so many people who love and care for them and shared the evening with their families and some of their closest friends — many who actually attended and participated in their wedding day! A testimony to a lifetime of commitment to each other and to those around them. The day also celebrated both Ellen and Brad’s 50th birthdays so there was a whole lotta shaking going on! 🙂

Their day was celebrated at the Pinecrest Golf Club in Algonquin IL which provided a beautiful backdrop for family photos. Each of the tables had burlap and lace runners with silk flower arrangements that were handcrafted by Ellen. A photo display with pictures of Ellen and Brad showcased some of their memorable life moments — from birth to present day. As guests arrived, they were greeted with a sign in poster that displayed Then and Now pictures of the happy couple. But the table that all of their guests were the most interested in was the sweets table. Most of the goodies were baked by Ellen and everyone couldn’t wait to dig into the chocolate fudge squares, chocolate chip cookies and assorted donuts. And speaking of donuts, Ellen and Brad actually blew out birthday candles on one of those yummy cinnamon donuts!

Scrapping on the Spot was so honored to capture their day! Their anniversary scrapbook album was a ring binder style with a burlap cover and filled with accents such as burlap flowers, vintage flowers, burlap and satin ribbons with sprinklings of sparking embellishments and glittering accents. Their scrapbook featured a Generation Page for each side of their families, a Then and Now page and a page for their Special Dance which was equivalent to their first dance as husband and wife 30 years ago. Ellen and Brad loved their instant keepsake which was filled with love and affection.

CONGRATULATIONS Ellen and Brad! We wish you continuing love and happiness in the years to come !!
