Carolyn and Donnie’s wedding proved that dreams really do come true. All it took was a contest and a contest submission letter submitted by Donnie’s brother.
They were engaged 2 years ago and longed to get married but were never able to as other priorities overshadowed any hope of saving for a wedding celebration. When Donnie’s brother saw the Woodstock Wedding Network’s Wedding Wish media article looking for submissions to win a free wedding, he was moved to submit their names because of their continued struggle. Submissions were reviewed by WWN’s committee and Carolyn and Donnie were eventually declared the winner after a rigorous selection process.
Instead of informing them of the good news over the phone or via email, they were asked to attend one of WWN’s committee meetings so they could be interviewed by the group. When they took their seats at the front of the group, they expected several questions to be asked, but what they soon learned, it was the group announcement declaring them to be the winners!
The Woodstock Wedding Wish was no ordinary contest. It saw wedding professionals coming together to contribute over $15,000. dollars in services to make the day a reality for them. The day was filled with warmth and gratitude, by all who attended and by all of the professionals that helped this dream come true.
CONGRATULATIONS Carolyn and Donnie! We loved being a part of your dream come true!
