When the Sun City Celtic Club began planning for their 18th Annual Dinner Dance this year, the organizing committee wanted to make it really fun this year and decided to hold a Masquerade Ball! Sheila Gillis, Celtic Club President, contacted us to see if we could provide a unique service to make this year extra special, but yet keep costs to an affordable level. With more than 150 people attending, we came up with the perfect take-away …. a souvenir picture card!
Using green colored card stock, a title tag bearing the Club’s logo and sparkling shamrock embellishment, it was the ideal solution to carry both the Celtic Spirit and the dinner dance theme!
We set up our tripods and worktable in a corner of the ballroom and began taking pictures. Dinner dance guests lined up to have their pictures taken and giggled at the novelty of having their picture taken wearing masks! There were a variety of masks… some home-made, some were small and simple and others were grandiose and breath taking.
A crowd gathered around our work table and guests expressed amazement of having their souvenir photo in hand before the band played their last song. And as the last few couples made their way to the door they waved their cards in the air and shouted out a hearty Irish “Thank You!!”
